Accolades for Wath Brow’s U11s and U12s

WATH Brow Hornets U11s & U12s held their annual presentation night last month. The trophies were presented to the young Hornets players by ex-Wath Brow Hornets youngster Jake Moore along with his present team mate at Wigan Warriors, Kyle Shelford. The U11s have had a steady season but with only a few top aged players struggled in a lot of their fixtures. They never gave up – and to their credit and ended up winning six of the games. They improved in every fixture to the delight of their coaches Lee Power and Marc Jackson.

The U11s awards went to:-

Player of the year: Aaron Jackson;

Players Player: Josh Hewitt;

Most Improved: Fletcher McCarron.

The U12s season was also a slow starter but they battled on and pushed some of the top teams hard and also turned over a bigger and stronger Seaton Rangers. They eventually made their way to the league cup final where they narrowly got beaten in the final minutes of the game.
