Artists gather once more for show at St Bega’s School

Eskdale art showTHE ever popular annual Eskdale Art Show takes place this year on the late May Bank Holiday weekend (May 28 to 30).

It is held at St Bega’s Primary School and is their major fundraising event of the year. Last year, sales of art works raised £4,500 for the school.

It features high quality work from artists throughout the area including water colours, acrylics, oils and pottery. It is always a hugely popular event.

Parking is well organised but a nice way to visit is to take the Ratty from Ravenglass and walk from Irton Road station. Entry to the show and car parking is free. There are homemade hot and cold refreshments available throughout the day.

Egremont Junior Brass Band will be playing at 1pm on Saturday, 28th. There will also be six open gardens around the village on Sunday and Monday.

Admission to the Gardens is £5 for adults, under 16 free.
