Comedy comes to Egremont

FLORENCE is set to be in fits with the return of the Cheeky Comedy Night this month.

After the success of last month’s evening John Lebbon is heading back to Florence Arts Centre, on Saturday July 16 for a night of true cheeky comedy.

Headlining the June evening is the man with the best beard in Comedy (as said by Johny Vagas), Martin Mor.

Martin is fresh from his climb of Everest, and is set to bring his 30 years experience to Cumbrian stages.

As a professional performer, Martin has established himself as one of the UK’s most popular and in- demand comedians.

Martin has performed successfully at events of all description; from the Hammersmith Apollo to a show for the inmates of an Italian prison, from comedy clubs to performing before members of the British Royal Family.

Said to be very much the comedian’s comedian, Martin has been the support act of choice for; Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jasper Carrot, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas, Steve Coogan, and once Tina Turner

Next up is Junior Simpson.

Junior is a regular headliner at clubs all over the UK and is also in great demand internationally performing as far afield as South Africa and Australia. (Max & Paddy) (Love Actually one of the best headliners in Britain.

Junior is primed for a Northerner audience after just finishing his mini tour in America.

Lastly, but not least, is Stephen Cookson – also known as a one liner expert.

For the entire evening the audience will be at in the hands of the Cheeky Comedy host, and local lad, John Lebbon.

John promises to bring his own brand of Cheeky Comedy to every stage he lands on.

The next Cheeky Comedy night is heading to the stage of Florence Arts Centre, in Egremont, on Saturday July 16.

Tickets are available from the venue box office.
