EGREMONT, Cleator Moor and other parts of West Cumbria are once again facing a nervous night as Storm Frank prepares to hit the area.
A flood alert has been issued (Tuesday, December 29) for people living beside the Rivers Ehen, Calder, Irt and Esk.

This means flooding is possible and people should be prepared.
The Environment Agency warns that rainfall is expected in the early hours of Wednesday (December 30) and could last for 12 hours.

With grounds still saturated and lake levels high, it means the rivers could flood.
Be prepared:
* Keep tuned in to Radio Cumbria (104.1 FM or 1458 AM – it is not on digital radio).
* Check also with Floodline (0345 988 1188) or online flood reports.
* Prepare an emergency kit including emergency numbers, insurance policy, first aid kit, torch and drinking water.
* Pack essential items you will need if evacuated including medication and toiletries.
* Move vehicles to higher ground.
* Take photos of your property before it floods to aid insurance claims afterwards.
