A friendly welcome awaits at West Lakes Music Centre

A friendly welcome awaits at West Lakes Music Centre

Do you play a musical instrument on your own but would like to play with other musicians?

The Centre encourages children and young people in full time education and you’ll be amazed how much you can learn as well as have a lot of fun.

As well as young people adults are welcome to join, so why not dust off your old flute, trumpet, violin or any instrument which has been sitting in a cupboard for all those years. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, returning to playing again, or an experienced musician, they will have a place for you.

Their Community Orchestra is a unique group which offers woodwind, brass, string and percussion players of all ages and abilities the chance to experience playing a wide variety of music and allows families to all play together as well as unaccompanied youngsters and adults, while Windband welcomes all ages who play brass, woodwind and percussion instruments of intermediate standard and above, the chance to play more challenging material.

Do go along, learn new musical skills and see how you get on as there are no scary auditions.

The West Lakes Music Centre meets at The Meeting Place, Egremont Methodist Church every Tuesday evening during term time and are always open to new players.
