A CALENDAR-GIRLS style calendar is due to be released on October 7 featuring some saucy – but tasteful! – pictures taken in Egremont and Ennerdale.

It’s the brainchild of Jo Bell who is hoping sales of the calendar will help raise money for the Give Us A Break 2010 charity.

She told Egremont2Day: “I had the initial idea, after a close friend had told me that she’d had some photos taken of herself to help to boost her self esteem through seeing herself undressed, so its all her fault! And yes, she is actually one of the ladies who took part in the photo shoot and surprisingly, one of the most nervous!”

There will be a launch event for the calendar at Florence Mine on October 7 and 8, doors opening at 6pm. Tickets are £10 on the door which includes drinks and nibbles, plus a pre-order for the calendar (due to be printed at the end of October).

Jo added: “We are supporting a fabulous local charity Give Us A Break and there will be members from the charity there over the two evenings with information about the charity and further fundraising dates and venues. “More information about the charity can be found on Facebook – Give Us A Break 2010.”

And she’s already planning a 2017 calendar with some locations already in mind – so is keen to hear from budding models for that one too.
