TWO Egremont sisters have opened the doors to their new business, Nice Bites, in February.

Janice Sharkey and Angela Johnston, brought together their years of experience in food and retail to open the hot and cold food deli.

Ms Sharkey said: “I have wanted to open my own food outlet since I was at school at Wyndham.”

Before Nice Bites, Ms Sharkey had been employed for several years at the Egremont Spar store.

While there she began producing breakfast rolls, sandwiches and snacks in their deli and earned a 5 star hygiene rating.

She said: “Since seeing how successful my food was at the Spar deli, and noticing how happy my customers were it gave me the confidence to do it myself and who better to go into business with than my sister?”

The deli serves an array of hot and cold food including pies, sandwiches, salad boxes and cakes, all home made.

The business Facebook page (here) has been inundated with likes and support.

Ms Sharkey said: “We are happy to take suggestions for specials and new products; just let us know in store or on our Facebook page.”
