YOUNGSTERS had fun in the sun for Cleator Moor’s community event of the year.

The annual Phoenix Fun Day made a return on Saturday August 13, drawing in hundreds of children, and their families, from the local area.

The event, organised by the Phoenix Youth Project (PYP), had an action-packed line-up of fun fair rides, inflatable activities, stalls, face painting, and games for the event’s 10th anniversary.

Donations for the event came from the Town Team, Cumberland Building Society and Nisa Stores – this year’s event has been organised in partnership with Cleator Moor Town Council.
