The group raised about £2,500 through sponsorship and match funding.

Shameem said: “The Mokython was a great success. The atmosphere at the event was electric and we really had a great community feel to it with people coming together from across West Cumbria and beyond. Being a mum of twin toddlers it’s a charity I really wanted to support as they do so much good in our area supporting disadvantaged,  disabled and poorly children. I want to say a very big thank you do all those involved in the Mokython.”

Shameem said she is very excited to start organising the next Mokyfit fundraising event.
